As a qualified counsellor and health coach, I tailor my services to meet the unique needs of each individual. During counselling, I work with my clients to process difficult feelings and experiences, build resilience and self-awareness and identify a positive way forward. I offer a warm safe and compassionate environment to support your journey of personal growth.
Sometimes, we all need a thinking partner to motivate us to act towards setting and achieving our goals. As a health and wellbeing coach, I work with clients struggling with or are overwhelmed by living with long-term illnesses. I help clients overcome the barriers they face managing their condition. I also support clients in achieving their personal goals to manage their health condition better and lead a healthier lifestyle.
I have a specialist interest in working with individuals with diabetes, but I can work with people living with other long-term illnesses. The NHS recognises the role of health and wellbeing coaching in enhancing an individual’s ability to boost their motivation for self-management, set goals and foster committing to a healthier lifestyle.
I offer a free 20-minute consultation for counselling and coaching sessions, so I can gain an overview of the issues you wish to work on. We can discuss any concerns or questions you might have about counselling or coaching. We can explore what your goals might be, and how I might best help you.
Counselling Sessions: Last for 50 minutes and take place once a week. I offer short-term, mid-term, and open-ended therapy. Open-ended therapy sessions continue until no longer necessary.
Coaching Sessions: Last for 50-minutes
Feel free to contact me if you have any questions about how counselling works, or to arrange an initial assessment appointment. This enables us to discuss the reasons you are thinking of coming to counselling, whether it could be helpful for you and whether I am the right therapist to help.

The process of counselling involves talking to a professional counsellor and confidentially discussing whatever issues or difficulties you face. The counsellor will draw on tools and techniques from their training and provide understanding and empathy to their client, while they work out how to move through the issues that brought them to counselling. During your sessions, goals will be identified, and it is you, the client who makes the decision on what is best for yourself which is a key part of the process.
The number of sessions you may need we will discuss at your initial session as it varies and depends on the needs of each person.
Health and wellbeing coaches support you in taking proactive steps to improve the way you manage your health conditions based on what matters to you. They support you to develop knowledge, skills and confidence in managing your health and care, to improve your health and quality of life. They will coach and help you self-motivate through multiple sessions to identify your needs, set goals and support you to achieve your personalised health objectives.
Counselling creates a safe and supportive space for you to explore emotional and psychological difficulties. A counsellor offers a support system to help you gain the strength and clarity to cope and move forward. Counselling will help you explore your thoughts, feelings and behaviours so you can develop a better understanding of yourself and others.
A coach is trained to help you see clearly where you are today and then finds ways to move forward towards your goals – it’s more focused on change and overcoming obstacles through action to achieve your goals. Counselling helps raise self-awareness and clarity to solve your issues.
